gun control!

I like to hear how stupid the argument the right puts up about defining assault rifles!
well hears a clue=if its an ar-15 it fits the bill dumbo! ar stands for assault rifle! thats right stupor!now you can fling it string it flip it and strip it the ar stands for assault rifle!
So whats the deal ? the same same the right lives by =smoking mirrors=diversion!
use the nomenclature of the ar 15 as a guide line for assault rifle! ignore the ignorant right!
the most important band is limiting the weapon to 10 shot capacity! And when that non-hunter on the right says that will interfere with hunters(inform the dipshit every state I have ever hunted in already has restrictions on hunters and automatic semi- autos as far as shot capacity!)SHOUT THE ASSHOLE DOWN IN PUBLIC LET HIM KNOW YOUR A HUNTER AND INFORMED! That is how they operate! by intimidation!
My personal feeling about a gun carrying permit(who judges you?) is every one who is sane and doesn't have a record should be able to get one! If your refused because you live on the wrong side of the tracks you should be able to appeal it before a board of peers(not the in crowd) who is made up of your peers!
I have never bought a gun (and I have bought them since I was 21) without having to show at least two forms of id,my home address etc. You don't have to do this at a gun show! And judging from what I read in another forum about the recent one in Augusta this holds true in Maine!(the criteria is all you need is the bucks)!
I think a very simple fix would be a signature of the sale and a picture or video! along with the serial number of the weapon! this would also protect the buyer if the gun had been stolen!

1. BTW the 'AR' comes from the original manufacturer's name 'ArmaLite'.

It has nothing to do with 'Assault Rifle'. They use the 'AR' prefix to identify their firearms
(including pistols and shotguns).

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ArmaLite

2. Armalite Rifle

Armalite was the original designer of the AR-15. So hence, that's what AR stands for. " Armalite Rifle". It's not an assist rifle until it actuall assaults somebody. I'm a democrat. But I oppose Gun control.

3. so do I

]I also disagree that they are coming to take our guns! And why do we have an ammo shortage=every state has had a drop in hunting licenses. So when the false alarm went out we all stocked up. the industry was not ready for it-In my home town one sports shop who sells probably 30% of the ammo and weapons in a 20 mile diameter told me he moved ammo that had been in his inventory for years! guess what one of those cal. was=22 rimfire! But the right is so fast to lie! Surely you know ole man Bush lost his first bid because the right was thought to be anti-gun! so what did the big boys do =get a new head of the nra! think about it a movie star called Charlton Heston! wow suddenly the right was for guns! THE HERITAGE FOUNDATION CONTINUES TO FUND HATE AND MISINFORMNATION DATA - YOUR RIGHT ABOUT ONE THING ASSAULT WEAPONS CAN COME IN SHOTGUNS,AND PISTOLS! LOOK AT WHAT IS ON THE MARKET
