1 day ago... the importance of filling the seasonal void left in the diets of children who no ... invest in healthy eating programs now for those who can't afford to finance ... Kontos said 7 percent of Mainers older than 50 “are threatened by hunger.” ... Maine could cut its “food insecure” population from 200000 to 100000.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE-UN CALLED FOR AND TYPICAL OF THE WRONG CUTS THE RIGHT
ARE DOING AND CALLING FOR.
IF YOU HAVE A GARDEN (most of us always have extra) give your excess to a neighbor or food kitchen!
Support your local food kitchens as we have neighbors who need help!
'alec" takes its money out of the country! you are just begining to see the results of off shore banking killing our ecconomy so that a few thousand can control the money!
"ALEC" HAS ENTERED MAINE POLITICS -MAKE SURE YOU DON'T SUPPORT THOSE POLITICIANS!

I do have a garden and I probably give over half to my neighbors. Here is what my grandfather told me when I was a child. Plant twice what you need and if it's a bad year you will have just enough if it's a good year every one will have enough. There were no super markets back then so what one raised was what they ate. May be some day there will be a different world and every one will have enough.
