KETV: Iowa's history revealed in 1930s film

COUNCIl BLUFFS, Iowa —An 80-year-old film promoting the growth of Council Bluffs has been restored by the Council Bluffs Public Library.

The 1930 film Man Power depicts the scenes of the city’s life, industry, agriculture and education. There is only one thing missing from the black and white movie: sound.

Bob Mundt, Chamber of Commerce president, said the film still sells what the city prides itself on.

“We have the rivers to draw from. We have aquifers to draw from and that is one of our assets -- was then and is still today,” Mundt said
