WTF? An endorsement from King is a "big prize"?
ADEL, IA. Rick Santorum blasted four game birds out of the gray December sky here Monday, but he missed bagging what could have been a much bigger prize an endorsement from U.S. Rep. Steve King.
Santorum, who has campaigned in all 99 Iowa counties and held about 350 town hall meetings, spent the afternoon at Docs Hunting Club with King, one of Iowas most prominent conservative politicians. However, the congressman said afterward he still hasnt decided whether he will endorse any Republican presidential candidate before the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses.
I want my head and my heart to come together. When that happens, and if that happens, I will jump in with both feet. I hope it is not after the ship has already left, but it could be, King told reporters. He said earlier that one factor behind his indecision was that there hasnt been one constitutional conservative who has emerged to run away from the pack of GOP candidates.
...
In 2008, King endorsed Fred Thompson, who finished third among presidential candidates with 13.4 percent, narrowly ahead of fourth-place finisher U.S. Sen. John McCain, who went on to become the GOP presidential nominee. The first-place Iowa finisher four years ago was Mike Huckabee with Mitt Romney in second place.

My God, this is frightening. This kind of attention just helps King inflate his ego even more.
