Interesting! That was an early SEPTEMBER poll of the 4th district. At that time 39% indicated they hadn't heard of Mowrer (not good); but for him to poll that close--in spite of being largely unknown--bodes well for his chances. Also, I note that Branstadt had a 24-point edge over Hatch in that same poll...so it seems that a good percentage of his supporters are jumping ship and breaking toward Mowrer. I hope so. Steve King is a psychotic ideologue who gives expression to the worst fears, ignorances, and hatreds of the unhinged right. He's a national embarrassment and it's well past time for him to be sent back to Kiron. I'd support full federal subsidization for an asylum to hold him.

Mowrer has had a month to get out there and promote himself and become known. He's definitely in it. I hope he's getting help from the DCCC.

I don't know much about him but if he beats King, that would be epic.
