Florida Democrats have increased their registration advantage by 1,950 voters in the past 12 days
The increase was 815 voters on Tuesday and Wednesday. That's a little unusual.

3. Most elderly people in Florida vote Republican.

5. I think Dems made headway with elderly voters in this election.

I did a lot of phone-banking this cycle. Link: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021798362
It's obvious that the elderly bloc favored Republicans, but a lot of the seniors I talked to were very concerned about Medicare and the inclusion of Paul Ryan on the Romney ticket was a red flag for those voters. I think some of them flipped on that basis and others decided to stay home. It's a mistake to think that seniors can be ignored because "they're going to vote Republican anyway." |
