Miami's Cuban radio is slowly dying because of aging hardliners and Miami's changing market.
The radio stations that helped unite and propel hard-line Cuban emigres to the polls are beginning to change. As the emigres grow older and Miami's Hispanic community changes in composition, owners are abandoning the old talk radio formats or re-tailoring their formats to include other parts of Latin America or other issues.
Several of the old talk radio stations that propelled hard-line Cuban emigres and helped Dubya look like he credibly won Florida have dropped their talk-radio formats and/or their politics.
