1. Two reasons:

1. 2010 was a horrible year for Democrats.

2. Alex Sink was a terrible candidate who ran a pathetic campaign.

2. I think Alex was a decent candidate

and the race was actually close (47.7% to 48.9%) especially considering that Scott put $75Million of his own money into the campaign. But, indeed, 2010 sucked for Dems.

3. Meg Whitman spent $144 million

He is (and was last November) very unpopular. Sink failed to make a case that she would be a better choice.

4. the Tampa Bay

lamestream media (Palin's broken clock moment) never mentioned medicare fraud until after election (Bay News 9 mentioned it the next day)

The other three or four parties split the vote.

10. I'll have to subscribe to the Times

it seems to be one of the better papers around here. None of the stations I watch mentioned it until after the election. But then, I don't watch that much TV. Thanks, my bad.

Tea Party Express.

2. Alex Sink was a terrible candidate who ran a pathetic campaign.
Not from what I read or saw.
Do you have anything to back that up? She hit him pretty hard on his links with Columbia/HCA.
