4. Flowering trees burst into bloom here in the high desert a week ago

which is about a week sooner than they did when I moved here 20 years ago.

I saw the cherry blossoms in DC in full splendor when I was about six. I can still remember being quite impressed by it. It really is beautiful.

5. Always love seeing them around here

There's a small park in Arlington which my apartment overlooks and there are a couple of cherry blossom trees. Love seeing them when I walk out of the door in the morning.

LOTS of trees flowering around here! Gotta check out a particular one I saw, repeatedly, today, kind of purple, flowering. Plum, maybe?
