This is cool. For once people are pressuring the Senators. Rather than sitting there and blaming the President for everything. True, we have to be sure to know how they are voting, and not just assume that, being Democrats, they will vote as we think they should. And people with right wing Senators can still let them know how they feel.
Carper recently said he would accept $3 in spending cuts for every $1 in additional tax revenue. Coons also favors deficit reduction with a mix of spending cuts and tax revenue, but he has not said specifically how much revenue should be raised or which programs should absorb cuts.
Both Carper and Coons have voted in favor of letting the Bush tax cuts expire on households making more than $250,000, which would increase the top rate from 35 percent 39.6 percent.
