How's the turnout been for your polling place today?

Assuming you didn't mail it in or vote early.

My polling place was almost empty at 9:00 AM.

1. Busiest I've seen in 40 years (Cape Cod), but

it's a teabagger haven, so that's not good.

6. Yep. Too many there that I recognized as being from the dark side.

Sandwich has a nasty little knot of the Jeff Perry Patriots, or whatever the call themselves nowadays.

7. Well, at least you and I were there!

The lady behind me was all upset that we DIDN'T have to show ID. I was tempted to tell her it's because it's a republican town and we're all white...but I didn't

8. There was an older lady

and a young man together in line ahead of me (grandma/grandson?). The young fellow obviously had very serious problems - impeded speech, scars all over his head, not sure exactly what he suffered from, but absolutely major care issues. I think she was just showing him how the voting process works.

30 minutes later I saw them again, in the 6A Aubuchon, then walking out and getting into an SUV plastered with tea party/patriot no-new-taxes, cut-cut-cut bumper stickers .

I just shook my head and walked away ..............

2. NOVA: 1.5 hour wait compared to 15 min in 2008.

I don't know why.

4. Pretty crowded for 10 AM

in western NY. Paper ballots take more time but they're tangible proof if a recount is ever needed - heaven forbid!
