Another fire! I don't remember a year this bad.

Hayman was horrible. But the sheer quantity this year is overwhelming. I hope you all are OK.

2. Let's see.

I'm aware of these fires:

High Park fire
Springer fire
Estes Park fire (started yesterday)
the fire in Cortez

What else have I missed?

8. New Mexico is also burning down

and we'll have little forest left if the monsoons don't start up on schedule.

9. There are at least 10 active wild fires in Colorado. >>

This is as bad as I remember in my 31 years here.

10. If I didn't live in Colorado I would think that all of the fires were around Denver

from the map. It sure does not make what you're really looking at very clear. I am in the middle of the Weber, Stateline and Little Sand triangle...300 plus miles from Denver.

6. There will be more

Because of the lack of snow pack, the trees like in Big Bear Lake die because of the bark beetles. It doesn't stay cold enough to kill them off when it's time, so they live longer and destroy more trees. Climate change happens all different kinds of ways.
