We only got one, being driven around by his parents.

But sitting on the porch, hearing the rain, feeling the wet gusts, and smelling that wet pavement is something I've been waiting for for a long time...

It seems PG & E were slacking in maintaining the equipment during the drought, so a switch rotted or something like that. It's been out this long because their maintenance crew had to head down here from Cayucas. I hope they maintain the nuclear power plant better than this.

edit: It's actually their fault. They could have closed the Boils out on Tuesday and had the parade Thursday, in fine weather.

not that I blame them. Thursday started out nice, but got quite chilly by about 1 - at least out in the avenues.

Ventura here--still raining, but it really poured hard for a good 20 or 30 minutes, starting about an hour ago. In October, that's early. I hope it's a sign of things to come...
