Anyone vote by mail in Alameda County?

I just heard from a friend who votes in Oakland that she just got her absentee ballot TODAY. She actually paid $20 to FedEx it back!

Anyone else up there have a similar horror story?

she didn't have to do that. All she needed to do was bring it to any polling place & put it in the box.

this is true absentee voting, not vote by mail.
