1. Not the best news re. L.A. County......

Last edited Sun Oct 21, 2012, 07:03 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) Your friend can either hand deliver the ballot in Norwalk (which is a hike from NoHo), or your friend can mail it in. Those are the only 2 options for voting early. I should have added that it's the County Recorders Office in Norwalk. We used to have various locations, but, now that we got rid of touch screens in California there are no multiple sites. If your friend chooses to go to Norwalk, the wait in line can be 2-3 hours...FYI.

5. online vote-by-mail application
|
Found this as well -- If getting to Norwalk is difficult, you can apply to vote by mail as late as seven days before Election Day. Unlike in some states, you do not need a reason such as illness or out-of-town business to qualify for vote-by-mail. It can be done via regular mail, but this might be easier -- online application. https://lavote.net/SECURED/AV/ Still have a few days to make the deadline... but sooner the better ! * other resources http://rrcc.lacounty.gov/Voter/Absentee_Voting.cfm |
