Downtown San Diego, Saturday NightLast edited Sat Jan 14, 2012, 11:56 AM USA/ET - Edit history (3)
In town for a seminar. Hotel near the convention center. Not accustomed to paying for liquor and toiletries simultaneously. No wheels, but there's a light rail nearby. What's a Jersey girl to do for reasonably-priced dinner and fun on a Saturday night -- any rock clubs around here?

Last edited Sat Jan 14, 2012, 01:30 PM USA/ET - Edit history (2) on kettner, just a short walk from the middletown trolley stop. this is pretty much san diego's premier rock club. otherwise you might just take a stroll up 5th av in the gaslamp. plenty of things to keep you occupied there. if you like mexican food, we have the best taco shops you'll find anywhere. lucy's over on C is an excellent choice, not too far from where you're staying, and right off the trolley line. have fun!

7. Take a pedicab, ask the driver for suggestions

Last edited Sun Jan 15, 2012, 02:42 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1) There's lots of clubs downtown, even a Hard Rock Hotel near the convention center and a Hard Rock Cafe near Horton Plaza.
The pedicabs are really nice, there's usually a bunch of them waiting on the street between the Hard Rock Hotel and the Tin Fish restaurant across from the convention center. |
