2. I really want to

but I worry about this district. Middle of the road is about the best chance of keeping that seat isn't it? Barber is a pretty safe bet as a partial incumbent and with everything that happened I have no doubt he can win.
I am not sure what to do. I have no problem doing a "message vote" to let him know there are still liberals to the left of center out here - but only if it is safe.

3. Yes, Barber is a safe bet for the district.

Grijalva being a progressive leader and Barber being a middle of the road kind of guy
demonstrates the differences between their districts.
Barber - Raytheon / Fort Huachuca
Grijalva - Tohono O'odham
I'll gladly vote for Ron Barber in the general election.

4. Sierra Vista has not only all the military but so many retirees with a little money

that tend to be conservative and republican, plus most of the ranching and farming community is too, unfortunately. There is Bisbee and a significant Hispanic community, though.
I didn't even realize our school Superintendent was up until I saw the sample ballot. The Ag teacher from Benson is running. I didn't even know he was a Dem. So I am very happy to vote for him. No Dem candidate for Sheriff out here, but in general Dever does a good job. I like the guy ok. He's no Dupnik, but he sure as hell isn't an Arpaio either. He and my county sup. are my two crossover votes.
