beautiful and painful, not at all what I was expecting, but in a good way.

The siblings have been very hit and miss, I liked Cloud Atlas but the last movie, Jupiter Ascending, seemed like a total mess to me. I think it is more evidence that this is the golden age of tv, long form epic story telling is just better on the small screen over 10-12 hours. Imaging if they had to squeeze each season of GOT into a 3 hour movie, my guess is that they wouldn't even be that good.

By coincidence we just watched this last night and you're right, it was pretty bad. When I realized that the Wachowskis had done it I was surprised.

My daughter (whose opinion I trust) said it's not a great film, but it was fun and had great special effects. If that's all I'm looking for, I'll probably find a way to enjoy it.

I watched it all over 2 days and really liked it. It took me about 3 episodes to feel that I had a handle on what was going on, but the slow set up of the characters etc was a good thing I think. After it was over I thought, oh crap, now I have to wait until next year for more!!

before watching, which I did. It helped me make the connections as to who and where a little easier, and didn't spoil me for any of the good stuff. I'm excited for S2, too!

Knowing this info really helped me keep track of who was who and where we were in the first few episodes. It can be confusing if you aren't paying close attention, because there are 8 main characters and 8 locations around the world, and each episode jumps around from place to place and person to person.

I just happened to check the Twitter feed for the show about 20 minutes before this event happened today, so I watched it streaming live. It was great fun!

They called this a "Global Hangout with the cast of Sense8." It's about 50 minutes long and all 8 cast members participated via live video from wherever they were around the world.

This was hosted on Netflix's YouTube channel, and all the cast were really upbeat and cheerful. (I don't think they would have bothered to do this if they are planning to cancel the show.) They all seem to have become really good friends. There was a lot of laughter, and it was great fun to watch. So, check it out!

Here's a link to the entire interview:

I KNEW it would happen today. The sensate's birthday is August 8, so they timed the renewal announcement as a birthday present for the 8 on 8/8/2015 (2+0+1+5=8) at 8:00am.
