It had a horror feel. The rest of the season was a bit meh for me. Overall a fun series though.

and when True Blood started, I greatly enjoyed it.

As the series progressed, it really got horrible to watch. By Season 4 I could barely stand Sookie and several other main characters.

The final season was just too neat and tidy. It was like watching a teen romance novel. That wasn't, however, the original vision of the show when it started.

I disliked Bill's death, Sookie's self-righteous "I can have it all speech" before she staked him, the thanksgiving with all the kids, and Pam & Eric reduced to infomercial sales people. Eric looked miserable in the last shot of him on the throne.

All in all, I am glad the series is over. I think it should have ended a few seasons back personally.

The early seasons were a lot more fun.

I have a tendency to like tidy endings. I couldn't see Sookie as a vampire. I was glad Eric and especially Pam were able to build additional wealth for themselves. Yeah, he looked bored on the throne.

magical was going to happen. Bill was becoming more 'human' from the Hep-V. We, the viewer, had no idea how Sookie's fairy blood had progressed or mutated the disease. I was hoping that Sookie was going to use her light on Bill, but instead of killing him, it cured him and made him fully human. Both she and he were then no longer trapped by their 'supernaturalness' and both could live out a human life together having family, friends, and finally the true death together in old age.

But not surprisingly, I am a bit more of a romantic than most.

Fantasy. Since she could hear him, I was thinking that her strain of Hep-V was curing him as well. Strange that this wasn't pursued.

I just knew that I didn't want her becoming a vampire.

I know it's schmaltzy, but I would rather that happened than what did happen. I didn't care for how they accomplished Bill's true death. I would rather he'd just died from it than for Sookie to stake him. That was horrible.

If she wasn't going to do the deed as he 'planned' then she should have walked off and he could have met the true death waiting on the sun.

I liked the wedding--those two needed to be reunited--but hated the true death scene. There are so many other ways they could have done that. I did not like that Sookie killed Bill, nor that he asked her to do it. bleagh I also wanted to see the baby daddy's face in the final scene, dang it! But yeah, Eric and Pam were a hoot, as always. All in all, it was OK, but I would have done some things differently.
