Question: do you need to put on sunblock when the only sun you plan on catching this summer comes from the glow of your TV screen?
Seriously, who needs beaches, boat rides, popsicles and pool parties and when there's binge-watching to be done?! This summer season in particular is jampacked with so much good TV you'll have no reason to leave your house. (Except for snacks, of course. Grab us some Peanut Butter M&M's and Diet Coke, would ya?!)
We've compiled a thorough list of all the can't-miss premiere dates, from Pretty Little Liars, Orange Is the New Black and Teen Wolf's highly anticipated returns to Andi Dorfman's debut as The Bachelorette. Plus, 24: Live Another Day finally begins its countdown again and True Blood kicks off its final season. And we're also running down all of the new series, including Halle Berry's small screen debut in Extant, HBO's The Leftovers, Showtime's Penny Dreadful and more, you can't miss this summer season...

I've been looking for a good list of summer shows. This one's pretty good. Anyone want to add more shows that they missed?

(1,945 posts)Yay, I've been waiting to hear when it would premiere. June 2 isn't too long to wait.
I was hoping to see another season for The White Queen, but since it wasn't on any of the lists I went searching for info and it looks like it's been cancelled. I guess the War of the Roses is over.
Thanks for the list!

(88,117 posts)New series on TNT starting June 22 called The Last Ship with the delicious Eric Dane previously of Grey's Anatomy. Sort of sounds like a mini-series? Not sure.
There's one on AMC starting this Sunday called Halt and Catch Fire, which covers the 80s development of computers. Dish Magazine calls it the Mad Men of Computer Geeks. May be too technical for me, but I have it set to record. I do remember the very first computers we used in the classroom, and we were allowed to bring home for the summer. I believe the Apple II e computers were an improvement. Can't remember the name right now.
