1. I saw most of an earlier episode.

Good story, well-acted. TV needs more like this.

5. There is another show, The Hour,

But it's on hiatus right now. It is about an early television news show, the producers, writers, announcers, corruption in the police and govt.

9. The era that The Hour is set is

Barely post-WWII. They cover racial issues, mobsters, etc, and slowly unravel he personal lives of the newsroom workers. It's a fairly serious drama.

2. I bought it from iTunes and watched it on my iPad on the way back from Japan

Didn't quite finish it, but I liked it. (I need to get back to it, come to think of it.)

According to the Internet Movie Database (imdb.com), there was a second season, and if you have a region-free DVD player, you can probably order it from Amazon UK.

He was on it for a couple of seasons in the middle of its run.

8. Loved it!

Great writing and the cast is wonderful.
Also, as someone mentioned above The Hour is excellent. Saw the first series and was addicted. Dominic West is to die for! I have the second season on my dvr- waiting for a rainy day to veg out and get my British on!
