“Boss,” the political drama starring Kelsey Grammer as mayor of Chicago, is coming to an end, Deadline reports:
“After much deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to not proceed with (a third season of) Boss,” said Starz in a statement Tuesday. “We remain proud of this award-winning show, its exceptional cast and writers, and are grateful to Kelsey Grammer, Farhad Safinia and our partners at Lionsgate TV.”
While the show has been canceled, producers are considering a two-hour movie to end the storyline, according to Deadline.
Grammer won a Golden Globe for “Boss” but didn’t get an Emmy. Asked recently about the snub, he said his personal politics may have been the reason. Grammer is one of a few outspoken Republicans in Hollywood.
