A Very Ordinary Flower Photo

Nothing special about this. I was pulling weeds in the yard and decided to shoot a few of them instead. I set up a piece of black foam core for a backdrop. It's pretty ordinary as flower pictures go, but I like it anyway.

3. Thank you. It's just that I've seen so many that are so similar.

I like it, but it didn't seem to really stand out to me.

4. Thank you.

I also tried it with a white card behind the flower but that just looked washed out. I kinda wish I had a dark royal blue card to try too.

5. Hit one

On purpose or not.
The use of back-lighting set it apart.
Color and contrast of the petals was not washed out, but, accented. H/T
