Moral of the story: be prepared. Always.
I generally never leave the house without at least a P&S, today I did.
Fortunately enough, I have a phone that takes photos well enough. As a thunderstorm supercell line moved in, I managed to snap a few photos... There was a brief instance of mammatus clouds forming (last image), a particuarly rare phenomenon that didn't fully materialize... 
All in a matter of three minutes or less, hardly enough time to compose any of the shots...

Is this in the Midwest somewhere? it has that feel. EDIT: Just wanted to add that I've gotten some very satisfying results with my i-phone camera. |
