Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge.

The Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge resides at the southern end of the bay, where the ocean dissolves into a landscape of sinuous channels and wetland sloughs. I need to spend more time there.

I hope you enjoy them!

On edit-- I should mention that the whole gallery is here: http://mcamann.smugmug.com/Misc-photos/.

The light is perfect, and the details so crisp and real.

I especially love the photo with the bird spreading its wings...

Do go back, and show us what you've captured!

It's the usual story-- the wildlife refuge is nearby, but I hardly ever go there. It's a lovely place to wander among the sloughs. You can hear the surf at the western end of the furthest trail.
