New Nikon D3200

I have had a D3100 for some time although I still feel like I am learning how to use it. Took some great shots on vacation last week and had several that I was disappointed with. My sunset shots from Santa Monica Pier just did not look as good I thought they did.

But last night my wife came home with a brand new D3200 in a box, I looked at her and asked what was going on.

She got it on clearance for an unbelievable price. Anyway, now I need to get this thing out of the box and learn the new toy. New toys are always exciting.

Enjoy!

I've thought of getting Nikon myself from time to time, switching over to that from Canon even though it would mean pretty much starting over with the lenses and such.

I used mine for two years, than gave it to my daughter after I got a D800.

It is excellent with a telephoto. Be sure to experiment with the auto mode off.

When I got the D3100, it took me a long time to get comfortable with the manual settings but it has been fun again.

Looking forward to push that further with the D3200.

come on over to http://www.nikonians.org
Lots of friendly and knowledgeable people to help you learn everything about your D3200.

Also, go to NikonUSA.com and download the PDF version of the user manual. You may not read it more than the paper version, but it is a lot easier to search through.

I do a lot of DIY projects. I am currently making a bench for outside and next up are shelves for my laundry room. I'll use some old wood I got for free. Sand it, stain it, and mount it.

Then I'll start on some yard totems made from old table legs. Got an old wood table for free and I am stripping it down for the wood.

The drone sounds fun! Especially for photo taking.

I got some shots of hummingbirds today but I wasn't pleased with them. I go through days when everything I shoot seems boring.

I was watching them do battle more than getting photos though. Have eight hummers right now and they are all in fight mode.

I want to so badly get to the point where I'm excited, rather than terrified.
Very happy for you!
