Related: About this forumQuestion regarding Flash on Nikon 5300
I've done this several times in the past but not tonight. Having a brain failure.
Trying to take some shots of stars. Manual mode, iso 400, 30 seconds, but for the life of me I forgot how to turn off the flash. ARRGG!
Thanks

I suspect you might have red eye reduction or some other flash feature turned on.

I'm not gonna' take the shot.

The one with the wrench. There might be something on the camera itself. I'm not really familiar with the 5300.

(25,348 posts)7. Thank you all for your help. The flash is on (in Manual mode) with Live view but not on when..
..NOT in Live view.
It all comes back to me. You might want to save this. I'll ask it again in 3 weeks.
