I remember one using a dowel that I stuck in a pot for my cucumbers to grow on. He seemed to come and perch on it everyday, then he would blatantly turn his head at me and give me a very pointed stare. It was as if he was saying, "okay, if you can stare at me, I can stare at you.

He was a friendly guy--at least I thought he was a guy. Come to think of it, he might have been a girl.
