I've been wondering if my Nikon film camera would be worth anything to anyone. Is there a market for film cameras at all? If so, where would one look?
Thanks in advance!

(36,827 posts)Photography students are still using film and there's also a good enthusiast market. I just bought a medium format film camera, and I still have and use my old Nikon film camera.
Ebay completed listings are a good place to check what the going rate is for your particular model.

I paid $20 for it. The lens was worth at least that much.
If you use drug stores for development, make sure the CD will work with a PC/Mac. Some will assure you that they will work, but they won't.
Start off with the Fujifilm ISO 200 you find at most drug stores. It's a good film and cheap. By the time you go through the four rolls, you should have a good idea if you like it or not.
If not, adapt the lens for your camera and proceed as before. I bet you will like the rich colors of the Fuji film.

(4,741 posts)There's definitely a market, and even at a potentially decent price - I just shipped my old Nikkormat off for a $200 restoration. It's well over 50 years old, I figure it's due for it..
