Easter Bunny

I took this picture last year. It's my daughter's bunny all dolled out for Easter.

Nikon D7000, Nikkor 135/2 AF-D DC. 1/160 sec, f/5.6, ISO 100. DC set to F-4.

1. That's a beautiful portrait Major N!

Greeting card worthy right there.

BTW, I'll be getting a D7000 in the near future. I can't wait.

4. The lens and the lighting are doing the heavy lifting here

Mostly it's the lighting, really, although the 135/2 DC is arguably the all-time best 35mm portrait lenses.

The scene is lit with a softbox from above and center as the key light, a ringlight around the lens for fill, and one or two (I can't remember) green gelled flashguns on the background.

3. He's a dwarf Lionshead

My wife and I pay more attention to him than my daughter does anymore. He's a pretty neat bunny. I can put him either on the couch or the bed and he won't hop off. He's very gentle and doesn't mind being held.
