for those interested.

I'm doing good. Had my first chemo dose. So far no bad reactions. Next week starts the double-whammy of both chemo and radiation.
Thank you for all the support! It means a lot to me!
Love,
Solly

(60,071 posts)My wife had use of the mask. It was around 1980. It appears they have refined the design.
Hang tough gal.

(60,071 posts)Before we married, she pranked me with the mask. It was 2 - 3 Am and she showed up at my front door. All I saw was this ghostly white face. I instinctively went into my Roaring Ape, a mix of fear and aggression. She just about jumped out of her skin.

(90,762 posts)I had the Chemo nurses laughing hard. One started calling me Miss Kinky.
My mind might never have gone in that direction if the woman hadn't kept saying "fluffy cuffs".

(9,314 posts)to deal with hard situations. Not everyone understands that. Laughing is as good of a release as a good cry.
Fluffy cuffs would have had me laughing, too.

(121 posts)Had to create a new ID to respond to something my old friend scarletwoman posted recently in GD, and have been meaning to drop in here and say hello to my old Photo Group friends. I've been following news about you. And enjoying the many, many wonderful photos shared by you and all the veterans here, plus a bunch of fine contributions by newer participants, ever since I left.
Wish you a swift return to good health, and I look forward to the next beautiful images you share here. As trite as it probably sounds, you're an inspiration.
With love,
JeffR
