And now back to normal news coverage

Our immigrant community is vibrant and amazing.

Maviva is from northern Somalia, and an amazing person, and subject. Even before she officially becomes a citizen, she is already an activist in areas of her life that affect her deeply.

Oh and I did learn something today, as always, one mouth, two ears. She speaks a dialect in Northern Somalia that has precious little with common Somali. The dialect is Kizigua May May.

The story has to do with translations, and the fact that my very progressive governor has vetoed a bill to make those available by law at hospitals and medical centers. Politics, I just loathe it at times.

And now that I have finally upgraded the blog... that CSS book is looking at me.

I did a bit of reading and found the language has similarities to Swahili.

Is she Bantu?
