beautiful and old tree. Do you know what kind it is? It reminds me of a cedar tree but not sure.

I don't think its cedar, but will ask landlord, and as I won't see him for a while, I'll try to get leaf tomorrow, KC.

looks like it could be. Cedar trees have a wonderful smell to them kinda like a cedar chest. Duh I can't imagine why lol
Where I went to summer camp as a child had cedar trees everywhere and that has just stuck with me all these years.
If I remember right the trunk doesn't have 'bark' like other trees but it has little strings that you can pull down or off of it. And you can really smell that scent then lol

and as I recall, moths, or their progenitors, DON'T LIKE the lovely scent, so we use it to deter them from eating our sweaters! Will work on preserving some of 'my' cedar 'shavings,' or 'greenery,' as I've noticed that MANY trees around here are the same!
