Related: About this forumIditarod, a preview
I took over 1300 shots today, and I'll probably get as many or more tomorrow. Then come 10 days of Nome. It may take me months to get this year's Iditarod gallery sorted out, edited and posted -- especially with the upcoming second eye surgery -- but I'll try extra hard to make it worth your while. This is a labor of love for me, and I appreciate that some of you enjoy keeping up with the "last great race."
We sponsored musher Trent Herbst this year, so we get access into areas closed off to the general public. Trent's going to have a barbecue before the race for his friends and supporters, kind of a tailgate party, so I'll have all kinds of opportunities to photograph the dogs and get candid shots of the mushers. It opens up new possibilities for my Iditarod tales.
Anyway, I loved this dog and wanted to share.
