Amazing video: The City of Samba - Rio's Carnival In Tilt-Shift Miniature




Using tilt-shift techniques, filmmakers Keith Loutit and Jarbas Agnelli made Rio's Carnival look as if it were happening in miniature. Their short film "The Sound Of Samba" is made of real footage from the city's 2011 festival, but a trick of lens-tilting creates the illusion that each object is dramatically smaller than it actually is. From what looks like a tiny helicopter to ant-like hordes of revelers, the miniaturized details get across both how extensive and contained the city's networks are. ...
