Spanning the 19th and 20th century we had a Madam named Belle Breezing.

The Character Belle Watling in "Gone With The Wind" was based on Belle Breezing. I've read enough to say this story is probably true. So I went on a search for Belle Breezing's grave. A local writer, Sarah Glenn, told me where to find her grave. I was hoping for something in line with her legend, but all I found was this modest headstone. The smaller stone was for her mother. I will have to leave a rose for her and her mother. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belle_Brezing Note the different spelling of Breezing.

2. So glad I found her stone. I might go looking for Daniel Boone's grave this weekend.

I saw it decades ago. It overlooks the Kentucky River.

3. I hope you get the chance. I'm wondering what it looks like now.

Makes the things you read about just a little more real.

4. I try to put stories to images when appropriate.

This is an image I found on Google. I think I can get a good shot of its details, and the surrounding landscape.
