Got off my butt and braved the cold.

It's been so darn cold here I haven't felt like going out to shoot pictures. This morning I dragged myself to the park even though it was only 33 degrees.

Here are some chilly trees along the McKenzie river east of Springfield, OR

1. Nice back-light

Looks cold too. I don't know how you got a picture of the temperature, but there it is.

I stayed on my butt in my "warm" house.

4. I'm glad that you

braved the cold and shared this wonderful photo with us.

It barely got above zero yesterday to I opted to stay in my warm cozy house. But I'm itching to get out there today because it's a balmy 16F!

6. Stunning photo.

The lighting is perfect. You did a splendid job, Tater.

I must admit I set it as my wallpaper on my tablet. It won't go any further, I promise. If you don't want me to have it, I will delete it.

7. Thank you.

Use it any way you like.

When I put something on the web I more or less assume I've put it in the public domain.

When I turned around after taking the picture, there was a barbecue grill behind me next to the picnic tables, and I shot a bit of that too:

9. Ethereal beauty...

With a mind-stilling hush about it.

10. I love

this picture. Really beautiful. It has a still, cold and lonely feel to it.
