Has anyone else seen Mumford & Sons live?

I wasn't expecting them to be anything special, and was considering not going to see them because I was tired, but I'm so glad I went. They were so much better live than what I thought they'd be, and though by the end of it every song was sounding kind of the same as the last one, it was okay, coz they all sounded perfect. And while I have a visceral and enduring hatred of Simon & Garfunkel's 'The Boxer', Mumford & Sons did a cover that I didn't hate...

Even their choice of support acts was awesome. While I'd heard of Willy Mason before, I'd never heard him, and I'm so impressed with what I heard...

My only gripe about the night was the audience. Too many smashed Hipsters who screeched and screamed during the quiet songs, and only got up and danced around during 'Little Lion Man' which I suspect was the only song they recognised...

Hipsters, I salute yr unceasing ability to turn me into a musical snob....

And the support act I didn't warm towards - Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros . I dunno, maybe I was just impatient to see Mumford & Sons by the time they got on, but the lead singer gave me the shits coz he was trying too hard, and it was all just too kitchey American folksie for me. Kind of like those cutesy 'Mom's Kitchen' signs. Urgh...

End of gush session, except to say for some strange reason I want to learn to play the banjo coz suddenly it's a real cool instrument!
