1. GOD I love that song!

Is that Jason Newsted?

EDIT: I got to the end of the video finally. That answers that. I didn't know Newsted was ever in Gov't Mule. Trip.

2. After their bassist died they did a couple studio albums and a live album w/ about 20 diff. bassists

Newsted, Les Claypool, Flea (I think), Mike Watt, Roger Glover, George Porter, Phil Lesh, Jack Bruce, etc. The studio albums are "The Deep End Volumes 1 & 2" and the live album is "The Deepest End" - it was recorded at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage and was something like a 4-hour show. It's pretty epic.

3. I sawthem a couple years ago and they did Electric Funeral (or maybe Planet Caravan).

I've also seen them do a stunning version of Temple Of the Dog's "Hunger Strike". Warren is one of my favorite musicians - and a nice guy to boot.
