Happy Beethoven's Birthday, one and all!
My dad listened to classical music all the time when we were growing up, so we learned to recognize a lot of compositions before we knew the names of the pieces, or even the composers. We once bought him a bust of Beethoven for his birthday, mostly in imitation of Schroeder. I always got a chuckle out of Schroeder's fixation on Beethoven, and his relentless enthusiasm for celebrating Beethoven's birthday.

I too was exposed to him at a very young age, and his music (esp. the later, romantic stuff) just always thrills me!
