We were ponzied by Bernie Madoff in 2008.

We need so many things (like new glasses, hearing aid repairs, dental work)

That's awful to have a shyster steal your life savings. I hope you're able to get by, In the Wind.

but I don't wish it hard enough to do much about it so I guess it's not bothering me that much yet.

I weighed 125 pounds when I got married. Sitting on about 230 now. 3 and half pounds a year doesn't sound like much but it adds up...

I'd like to blame it on her cooking but she can't really cook lol. (edit~ by "it" i mean the weight gain, not the 30 years)

Fantasy land: After we got engaged she once said "now I just cook what I like so if you don't like something the way I cook it you have to let me know or else I'll just keep cooking it."

Real life: Nope. you cannot tell her you don't like something she cooked. At least, not that early - now it's pretty easy.

we mostly eat out now.

packs so many extra calories due to rich ingredients and large portions. That could easily account for 3.5 pounds per year. Besides, it's expensive.

But it suits a lot of folks' lifestyles, so it's more and more common.

Well, I guess.....shit, that's really all I could ask for. I'd love a Tessla and a job paying in the six figures, but......gotta admit, my and large, I can't complain
