I'm down in the 280s for the first time since I got married over 5 years ago.

289.0 on the scale this morning- 67 pounds lost. I'd like to thank my sponsors diet soda, sunflower seeds (in the shell), and sugar-free gum.

I put most of that weight on when I quit smoking 4.5 years ago. You know what? It was worth it! Especially now that I've dropped that weight.

Being that heavy is a health issue, though. I went to the doctor last year to get a DOT physical for my job. My blood pressure was a little high and I had to go on a blood pressure med to pass the physical. The doctor told me that if I got down below 300, I shouldn't have to worry about it. I decided right then to get serious about doing something about my weight.
