I'm back, I survived.

Hello everyone.

I've still got my job. My brother in law passed away. One of my cars needs to be inspected and has a check engine light I don't understand. We bought a Great Dane puppy, named her Mini. Got a 55inch 4K TV for the living room, had to cancel Thanksgiving because family can't make it. Trump fucking won, I've lost faith in the world and I don't feel good at all for having guessed this would happen. Glad that DU survived the hack.

That's my life. How's yours?

It's good to see you!

The news about the election really set me back. Depression alternated with sorrow. Now I'm just PISSED OFF!

I'm bracing for the worst.

Next Sunday is my birthday, and I am looking forward to that!

We'll be spending Thanksgiving with our daughter and her S.O. and that will be fun!

And about the coming year............I so hope you're right, but I'm afraid you're not.

Time will tell, of course!

9. I survived the hack, mainly because of so much other stuff

Dumped on my plate.

drumpf won, proving I was right about nearly half the country being willfully ignorant and intentionally stupid, racist, bigoted, small minded and extremely proud of all of it. I already had very little faith, if any, in the world, convinced that the drooling Troglodyte voters would finally amount to enough to elect a "drumpf" within the next generation. Hell, we're there now!

Then, right after dinner, the night after the debacle of the election, my wife, who just a few nights before was going on at length about how much she loves me, right out of the blue, surprised me with a request that I give her a divorce and vacate our home within 30 days. Six days later, on my birthday, I was served with the official papers and was laid off my job, working for her brother.

The bright spot in all this is, my son, who lives in Phoenix, Az. has offered me one of his spare rooms and says he very probably can get me a forklift driving job, where he works as a supervisor.

Gets me out of Illinois, which I hate with a white hot passion, and back out west where I really want to be and wish I'd never left. Az. isn't Colorado, but it's still out west and it's not Illinois.

I've shipped the bulk of my stuff already. My wife has agreed to pack and ship my PC and my remaining things on Dec. 7, the day I fly one way to Phx, if I sign off on my pick-up truck so she can sell it, which I've done already.

The last two weeks have involved researching trains, buses and planes. departures/arrivals convenient to my sons schedule. Deciding what stuff to walk away from and what to pack and ship.

It's been a bumpy ride, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

But it's good you're already making the move to go on with your life. Lets hope it's easier when you're far away where you want to be.

I'm again able to access DU. Neither of the other 2 sites that shared my old DU password have been bothered. My personal info stored on DU, such as it was/is appears to have been compromised. I'm still alive, although not thoroughly thrilled with my current situation.

It will help maintain any remaining sanity.

We too got a 55" 4K tv. Costco was damn near giving them away.

Depending on your vehicle this might help - look the code up online for more info.

at Autozone and other car part vendors. They have a gizmo that hooks into the car's diagnostics. If the car seems to be running fine, it's probably nothing major.

Cars ugh. So complicated compared to the 70's and before. It was easy to fix almost anything under the shade of a tree in the yard back then. Good luck!

Pictures of your puppy would make a LOT of ppl happy I love her name.

tRump won yes he did I just really don't know what's in store but we're bracing for the worst as I'm sure a lot of other ppl are too.

I'm still not well and it would take forever for me to tell you all about it and truthfully no one wants to hear it hehe.

I hope your coming year is a good one.
