my poor guy
he has an abscess in his lung and they're admitting him. i'm supposed to leave tuesday to visit my mom for close to three weeks but i'm not going to leave him if he's still really sick.

(31,319 posts)Better to go on Friday afternoon than to let him get worse over the weekend.
Hope they can find the right meds to get him well!

(135,425 posts)I just finished nursing an elderly relative through a bout of walking pneumonia. Lasted for weeks.
It took some strong antibiotics to finish it off.
Hope he's better soon.

(149,297 posts)IV antibiotics and maybe breathing treatments should take care of this.
My best to him, and you!

(24,146 posts)i haven't spoken with a doc about the treatment plan yet and he's no help with information.
