"The Great American Dream Machine"

I watched this as a boy of 11 back in 1971 on PBS. I didn't understand some of it back then. This is probably the first time that I remember seeing Chevy Chase, Ken Shapiro, Marshall Efron and Albert Brooks.

It appears that the Nixon Administration weakened PBS because they didn't like shows like this. Here is an interesting link from a newspaper in 1979.
