haven't done in 30+ years.

Must be working - never had a yeast infection and I was fertile enough until I got a vasectomy.

I sure as hell don't wear constricting undergarments.
I wear cotton knit really stretchy briefs.
They 'contain', which I like.
But they sure as hell don't 'constrict'.
Anyway, I sleep in a T-shirt and cotton knit elastic waist shorts.

My little brother's cat would wake him in the morning by leaping from the doorway onto his crotch--claws extended. I guess once the cat found what worked, he "stuck" with it.

I heard yelling when he woke up and his hand was clutched around the cat's neck and they were staring wide-eyed at each other - yes, the cat had detected movement and, er, had gone in for the kill

...advising this to the patients in our pediatric practice for years. The point is less the underwear itself than wearing underwear under pajama pants or nightgowns. The purpose of underwear is to keep clothes clean. A single layer at night is quite sufficient, and allows some healthy ventilation "where the sun don't shine".

You need to let that air out when you are sleeping.

I wear pajama bottoms but that's it.
