there's a robin sitting under a tree in my backyard!

1. We've already had flocks of Robins.

But then, it's usually way colder up there than it is here.
BTW ... it's 35 degrees outside my window right now.

2. I've never seen a robin this early in Maine!

I heard a spring bird call yesterday morning, too...

We hit 58 yesterday. It's about 41 out right now, but supposed to head back up to 50 or so tomorrow with rain!

4. Looks like we are having a spring thaw. I sat by the pond, feeding fishies for the past 2 days.

We have golden fry the size of my thumbnail up to six inches (or larger, hard to tell). They love the deicer we're using, for the first time, this winter. Algae has continued to grow in the center of the floating unit. Life is good in their pond.

I haven't seen any in PA yet. They usually arrive the first week of March. I did hear a bird singing (not just chirping) this morning though!

It's a mild and sunny day here.

6. I haven't seen any robins this year - I don't think they've come south at all

Th goldfinches were late but they are mobbing the bird feeders today.
