1. I got to spend 2 days with her about 12 years ago.

This was during her "Peel me a Grape" era.

I was on the Jacksonville Jazz Fest transportation committee and went to pick her at the airport for her show.

We hit it off right away and the next morning I picked her and her band up to do a little shopping and sight seeing.

She performed that Saturday night at the Fest and as my wife and I were walking to the after party she comes up behind us and jumps in the middle of us and links arms. She said we were here date tonight and off we went.

She did 3-4 songs at the after party and then back to the hotel we went. She said she always goes to them to check out the local talent because that was how she was discovered.

We dropped her off at the airport the next morning. Great lady.
