(54,770 posts)to get paired with her? Guess you could say the same for Gary Busey.
My lady friend likes the show, but I think I'll wait to watch it with her when the contestants have been pared down.

(14,061 posts)Van Amstel in particular. Tony Dovolani is another (he was stuck with Kate Gosslin, if I recall).
Folks like Derek Hough....not so much.
I'm pretty much reduced to checking the day after eliminations to see who got kicked off rather than sitting through the show.

(28,394 posts)I recognize Paula Deen, Gary Busey, and Chaka Khan.

(14,061 posts)And Gary Busey. <<sigh>>. I think the last time I saw him on a reality TV show was "Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew" on VH1. I think it was Busey's second go-around in treatment, and the poor man kept laboring under the delusion that he was one of the counselors. So sad and tragic to see what's happened to him.
I don't know; maybe he's been further physically and mentally rehabilitated since then (although I thought he had permanent brain damage)...but to me he is this season's spectacle, the one who has zero talent and can't compete with the able- and nimble-bodied 20-year-olds but somehow manages to hang around at least until the week before the semis. I really can't watch such exploitation, even if he's opening himself up to it.
Not watching this season -- not that I've really followed it for the past two seasons. But I will say I'm glad to see that Anna is back (she was my favorite pro).
(It will be Bindi Irwin FTW...I'll check back in November.)
