Tomorrow is the first day of school.

Fourth grade? Where does the time go? Anyway, we are busy getting ready for our son's first day of school. School supplies: Check. Clothes: Check. Everything is ready. I'm personally excited and nervous at the same time. Excited that he is getting back into his routine and back together with friend he did not see over the summer. But I am also nervous as I wonder about his new teacher and whether he masters the new material. One thing is for sure, though. It never gets old.

My youngest starts her Senior Year in High School soon. It all goes by so very fast. Much too fast in my opinion.

I remember the fun and excitement of visiting and applying for colleges with my sons, though. I had more fun than they did!

Yearbook photos, prom, graduation.... so much to look forward to!

Today would have been my first day back if I had not retired.

Fourth grade is such a nice year. It is like the last year before they hit adolescence. They are mature enough to be helpful and dependable and the hormones haven't kicked in yet. Enjoy this special year-- he'll be fine!
